Gracie Barra Saddle Rock, founded in April 2019, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) school located in Aurora, Colorado, serving the communities.
Our head instructor, Arlindo Baiao Junior, widely known as Juninho, a Black Belt 3rd
degree, adding to the rich lineage and
expertise that Gracie Barra represents.
We are part of Gracie Barra, the largest Jiu-Jitsu organization in the world, with over 1,000 schools around the globe. Gracie Barra was established by Master Carlos Gracie Jr., the son of
Jiu-Jitsu pioneer Grand Master Carlos Gracie Sr. and played a pivotal role in the development
and popularization of Jiu-Jitsu. With a vision to expand the global reach of Jiu-Jitsu and promote
its numerous benefits, Master Carlos Gracie Jr. founded the first official Gracie Barra school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1986.

Professor Juninho is a 3rd Degree Black Belt.
With an impressive history of 20 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and 19 years of Judo, Professor Juninho brings a wealth of experience into our community. What sets him apart is his academic foundation in Physical Education, which infuses a distinctive and effective dimension into his instruction of self-defense and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for both children and adults.
His educational journey commences with a bachelor’s degree in physical education earned at Jaguariuna College in Brazil. Progressing from there, he achieved a master’s and Doctorate in Adapted Motor Activity through the State University of Campinas in Brazil.
In his role as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor, he possesses global teaching expertise, having conducted classes in various countries including Brazil, Portugal, Italy, South Korea, and the United States.
A dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast, he achieved the title of state champion in São Paulo on multiple occasions and was Brazilian National Champion. Additionally, he has participated in numerous national and international tournaments, showcasing his skills on a broader stage including 3rd place at the IBJJF World Masters in 2023.
