Week 15: Building Confidence & Guard Passing Skills

At Gracie Barra Saddle Rock, our structured curriculum helps students learn real self-defense while having fun. Here's what we're working on this week across our kids' programs:

💬 Word of the Week: TEAM

This week, we’re focusing on what it means to be part of a TEAM. Whether it’s encouraging a partner, helping someone tie their belt, or showing good sportsmanship, being a great teammate is a huge part of jiu-jitsu—and life. Our students are learning that we grow stronger together!

👊 Why It Matters

Guard passing and takedowns are some of the most important parts of jiu-jitsu. They help kids understand control, timing, and patience. Add in some essential self-defense and you’ve got a week of training that builds real confidence.
